About this role
We are looking for a motivated aspiring psychologist to join our team working across the stroke and breathlessness pathways. The settings are both acute physical health and community based. You will be supported by a small number of psychologists, where you will have ample opportunity to work directly with patients and their family's; as well as offer consultation to medical professionals. These services are well established and respected within the teams they are embedded.

The applicant will spend half of the week supporting the stroke service and the other half working within the breathlessness service. They will be completing screenings and assessments of patients mental health needs, as well as offering therapeutic support to patients and family members. They will also work closely with members of the multidisciplinary team to support them to understand the patients psychological needs. There may also be opportunities to be involved with neurorehabilitation and screening.
The applicant must have a keen interest in working within a clinical health setting, and only applications tailored to the role will be screened for interview.

As well as the clinical aspects of the role, the post holder will be responsible for supporting the administrative management of the services. This is likely to include audit, annual reports and data management; as well as supporting service development projects as they arise.
