Education and Qualifications Essential MBBS or equivalent MRCP or equivalent Full GMC Registration Full and Specialist registration in Diabetes and Endocrinology, and in General (Internal) Medicine (and with a licence to practise) with the General Medical Council (GMC), or be eligible for registration within six months of interview. Desirable MD/PhD Experience & Knowledge Essential Wide experience in Endocrinology and General Internal Medicine Ability to provide expert clinical opinion across a wide range of problems within the specialty especially with a wide experience in General Internal Medicine and Diabetes and Endocrinology Desirable Experience in managing patients on hybrid closed loop insulin pumps. Experience in managing diabetes and endocrinology problems in pregnancy. Academic Achievements Essential Ability to use research outcomes in clinical practice Experience of conducting clinical audit Experience of using evidence base to support decision making Desirable Involvement in research projects and published papers Formaltraining inteachingskills Key Skills Essential Ability and enthusiasm for teaching health care professionals and medical students in a Endocrinology & General Medicine setting Capable of organising and prioritising work effectively Motivation and able to plan and develop the service Commitment to continuing professional development Willingness to participate in clinical governance Computer Literate Desirable Formal training in teaching skills Experience of committee work/project management.
