Accountant

Our client is a small, friendly, but established Chartered Certified Accountants based in the Braintree area of Essex.

Due to growth within the business, we are looking to recruit a Semi Senior or Senior Accountant to join the team.

Our client supports a wide range of clients from Sole Traders, SMEs to larger corporate clients, and so the role will offer a varied portfolio to work across providing accounting, tax and advisory services.

This role can be tailored depending on your level of experience, making this a great opportunity for someone looking to continue developing technically while taking on greater client responsibility.

Main Duties

Preparing statutory year-end accounts for limited companies, sole traders and partnerships from planning stage through to completion

Preparing management accounts for a varied client portfolio, including more complex businesses should your experience lend.

Preparing partnership accounts and tax returns

Managing deadlines and client expectations effectively

Reviewing statutory and management accounts at first review stage

Supporting clients with accounting software and Making Tax Digital requirements

Preparing and reviewing VAT returns

Handling client queries via telephone and email

Experience of Digita Software or Iris an advantage although not essential.
