The Role
As a diligent and proactive carer, you are versed in juggling tasks and prioritising with consideration of the clients needs and time constraints.
Privately employed directly by the client, working in their home Norwich, NR4, with the support of social services managing payroll.
Working one to one with myself (Woman/40s), an ambulatory wheelchair user. This position focuses on personal care/bathing, cooking/food preparation, home chores/cleaning and maintaining the clients home. Essentially, anything you do for yourself, you may well assist me with at some point, though I like to be independent where feasible.
Physical assistance is required depending on my abilities at that time, and helping me navigate decisions when I’m exhausted and my cognition is challenged. Emotional support and understanding is also helpful at times when things become overwhelming.
Flexible Working Opportunities
This position is offered to two, reliable morning carers to cover Monday to Friday (10AM-12PM), with the option to pick up extra weekend work if you want it.
To give you a great work-life balance, my Monday to Friday shifts are split into two consistent, predictable roles. You can choose the split that best fits your lifestyle:
•
Role 1 (3 Fixed Days)
Monday to Friday (10AM-12PM) split (e.g., Monday, Wednesday, Friday)
•
Role 2 (2 Fixed Days)
Monday to Friday (10AM-12PM) split (e.g., Tuesday, Thursday)
Want Extra Hours? The Weekend is Entirely Optional!
We know no one wants to work every weekend, so we are putting you in control. Saturday and Sunday morning shifts (10AM-12PM) are completely optional, on a week-by-week basis:
•
Zero Pressure
You are only contracted for your 2 or 3 fixed weekdays.
•
Flexible Income
Opt-in to cover a weekend shift when you want extra money, or opt-out when you need a break.
Offering a flexible approach is ideal for professional carers who value flexibility, variety, and greater control over their working week, while still providing commitment to consistency and high-quality support.
Training for Employees
Several short, mandatory online training courses will be completed during your initial trial period, of around 7-8hrs. You are welcome to undertake these at home when it’s convenient for you, and will be paid for this additional time.
How to Apply
Clearly outline your days of interest, supported by your CV.
