Children Social Worker

About this role

We are looking for a Children's Social Worker to join a Children's Team.

This role requires a minimum of 3 years post qualification experience in a permanent contract/s.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled practitioner with strong assessment experience who is passionate about achieving positive outcomes for children and families.

Key Responsibilities

  • Completing comprehensive parenting assessments
  • Undertaking Child & Family Assessments and risk assessments
  • Working closely with families to identify strengths and areas of support
  • Producing high-quality court reports and care plans
  • Attending court proceedings, strategy meetings, and multi-agency meetings
  • Managing a varied caseload effectively within statutory timescales
  • Working in partnership with partner agencies to safeguard children and promote welfare

Requirements

  • Social Work England registration
  • Previous experience within Parenting Assessment, Child Protection, or Court Teams
  • Strong assessment and report-writing skills
  • Ability to work independently and within a fast-paced environment
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service preferred
