  • Demonstrates a warm, patient, and nurturing approach, creating a calm, inclusive classroom where young children feel safe, valued, and confident to learn.
  • Has strong organisational and communication skills, enabling effective planning, clear routines, and positive partnerships with pupils, parents, and colleagues.
  • Shows secure knowledge and understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage and early primary curriculum, including the delivery of high‑quality phonics teaching to support early reading and language development.
  • Is a reflective practitioner with a strong commitment to ongoing professional development and continually improving teaching practice.
  • Works effectively as part of a supportive and collaborative team, contributing positively to the wider life of the school.
  • Demonstrates a clear commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, placing pupils’ wellbeing at the heart of all practice.
