Wayland Farms Ltd are a pig production company who are passionate about breeding and nurturing the best pigs in the country. We form part of the successful Cranswick Plc., one of the largest food producers in Britain.

Job responsibilities of Pig Stockperson

· You will be actively involved with all areas of the pig cycle

· You will be based on one of our units

· On a day-to-day basis this includes feeding, moving, and handling the pigs

· You will also maintain the condition and appearance of the farming unit

What you will need

You must always prioritise and adhere to animal welfare

To be self-motivated, flexible and a great team player

You must be reliable and demonstrate good time keeping

Previous agricultural experience is desirable

Pay and benefits

· £28571.40 - £30,000 per annum depending on experience

· Additional bonus potential of up to £1500 per annum (quarterly payments)

The shift pattern is Monday to Friday with alternate weekend work, total of 45 hours per week

Pension – 3% employer contributions/5% employee contributions
