Providing services that are linguistically and culturally accessible; An increase in skilled Deaf and hearing bilingual practitioners working together to provide a highly specialised service for families who access the service. Promoting social inclusion and reducing isolation for a minority population Promoting systemic changes that impact positively on mental health including safe inclusiveeducation where communication needs are met, and children and young people have access to healthy learning and peer relationships; Improving mental health and wellbeing in a complex group of children and young people where mental health problems and deafness co-exist Improving quality of life in a vulnerable group of young people; Promoting an equitable and accessible mental health service at highly specialist levels for deaf children and young people and their families. Reducing the risk of misdiagnosis and inadequate or delayed treatment. An aspiration to reduce rates of mental health problems in deaf adults Please see attached JDPS for more details
