About the role

As a key player in our team, as a Space Planer you will take ownership of ranging and assortment decisions for promotional space. Your role is central to commercial success—crafting outstanding planograms that generate significant sales, profit, and operational efficiencies for the business. You will act as the translator of our customer knowledge, using shop and category insights to understand exactly how our customers shop, and developing targeted plans to meet their diverse needs. You will expertly convert strategic ranging outputs into perfect ranges for relevant pieces of promotional space. Furthermore, you will be a valued support for the Trade Planning manager working as a team to deliver the best results for the customer.

  • Salary - £38,400-£57,600
  • Contract type - We are recruiting for a mix of different contracts, we have Permanent & Secondment (Fixed Term Contracts) for 18 months available.
  • Working pattern/flexible working - The Partnership has adopted a hybrid working approach, meaning you'll be able to work a mixture between the office and home based upon your personal needs whilst balancing the needs of the business. The team complete 3 days per week in the office to connect.
  • Location - Bracknell Head Office
  • Interviews - We are aiming for interviews to take place towards the end of May

Key responsibilities

● Leverage insight and internal and external networks to keep abreast of key customer requirements, market conditions and trends.

● Own business processes, frameworks and tools within your area, continuously improving them to drive efficiency and effectiveness.

● Delivery of customer focussed planograms which meet the targeted outcomes whilst ensuring that all planograms are as efficient as possible - including reporting on the delivery against our KPIs.

● Deliver Range Optimisation with the buyers in smaller promotional layouts with recommendations to the buyers on total deletions.

● Generate a rolling annual plan to capture our intentions over the period and quarter.

●Generate the best possible insights - blending category knowledge and outstanding analytics.

Essential skills/experience you’ll need

  • Highly analytical with proven background in handling complex data requirements, data manipulations and modelling.
  • Experience at reading and interpreting data, with the ability to simplify complex situations or outputs and coupled with proven solution orientation, a collaborative and supportive approach.
  • Working under time pressure
  • Proven attention to detail and proactive ownership of task and role whilst working with complex systems.
  • Good judgement in all situations, adapting approach to deliver the best outcome in a fast paced, multi stakeholder customer-centric team.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
