Job Purpose

Support for a young girl with a diagnosis of Autism and Developmental Delay.

Details

I am a young girl with significant developmental impairment in communication and sensory difficulties. I am looking for someone to encourage my independence and help me to have a good time enjoying activities. I require one to one support with all my personal care and someone who will keep me safe because I do not recognise danger. When I am tired, I may become dysregulated which can cause behavioural issues. You would ideally have experience in supporting a child with Autism.

· Caring and empathetic· Flexible· Female carer due to the personal care element (Schedule 9, P1 of the Equality Act 2010 applies.)· A good sense of humour· Active

· Experience with supporting someone with Autism and Developmental Delay

Summary terms and conditions

· The rate of pay for this position is £12.89 per hour·

Hours and times of work

Minimum of 3 hours per week plus additional hours arranged flexibly. Exact days and times will be advised in advance.· The annual holiday entitlement for this position will be equivalent to the work I would normally expect to be done during 5.6 consecutive weeks.· This position requires the employee to complete the following free annual training: GDPR, Health and Safety.

Post is subject to the following:· A satisfactory enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check, the cost of which will be covered by the employer.· Satisfactory references from two referees, one of which must be your current or last employer. Completion of a satisfactory probationary period of 6 months.
