Working Hours

37 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Colchester Borough Homes (CBH), an award-winning organisation owned by Colchester City Council, has been at the heart of the local community since 2003. We manage and maintain around 7,000 residential properties across the Borough. Our work is varied, ambitious and rooted in improving places and lives.

About the Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic Assistant Asset Manager to join our dynamic Asset Management Team.

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity. You will play a key role in supporting the delivery of Housing Improvement and Capital Works projects, whilst gaining hands-on experience across a variety of surveying and property management activities.

What You Will Bring

  • A practical understanding of repairs, project management and planned

maintenance processes, and the standards required

  • Knowledge of building and construction projects, installations, and

planning/building control requirements

  • Awareness of current Building Regulations, related legislation, Decent Homes

standards and health & safety (including CDM)

  • Confident use of Microsoft Office, SharePoint and Housing Management Systems
  • A full UK driving licence and continuous access to a car
