Domiciliary Care Worker (Southend-on-Sea)

Job Summary

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Care Workers to provide high-quality support and assistance to individuals in their own homes. The ideal candidate will be committed to enhancing the well-being and independence of individual through personalised care, ensuring their safety, comfort, and dignity are maintained at all times. Duties

Deliver personalised patient care, including assistance with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and mobility support

Administer medication in accordance with prescribed guidelines and document all care provided

Support clients with meal preparation and feeding to promote nutritional health

Assist with behavioural management strategies for clients with Dementia or Alzheimer's care needs

Provide companionship and emotional support to individuals, fostering a positive environment

Support with light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe living space

Accompany individuals to appointments or outings as required, ensuring safety during transportation

Recognise and respond promptly to medical emergencies and carrying out CPR when needed

Assist with specialised care needs such as hospice or palliative care for terminally ill individuals

Maintain accurate records of care provided and communicate effectively with healthcare teams

Qualifications

Previous experience in assisted living, nursing home, or home care settings is desirable

Knowledge of caring for individuals with Dementia, Alzheimer’s, or behavioural challenges is advantageous

Certification in first aid, however full training will be provided

Valid driving licence

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to provide compassionate support and build trust

Ability to assist with mobility support safely

Basic meal preparation skills and understanding of medication administration protocols

A caring attitude coupled with organisational skills to manage multiple clients effectively
