About this role
We are a ward specialising in the care of the elderly medical patients and stroke patients. We have temporary opportunities for health care assistants to join our dedicated and dynamic team on Apple Tree Ward.
The majority of our patients often have multiple medical co morbidities. holistic care.

The post holder will provide high quality fundamental care to patients under the guidance of a Registered Practitioner in a caring, compassionate and sensitive manner.
- Acting always in the patient’s best interests
- Protecting and maintaining the patient’s privacy and dignity at all times
- Providing individualised care respecting personal beliefs and preferences
- Alerting the Registered Practitioner to any change or concern relating to the welfare of a patient in a timely manner
The ideal candidate would be expected to deliver the highest standards of care to our patients. We work closely across a range of MDT including the palliative care teams to give excellent end of life care and support to our patients, you will also have the opportunity to gain experience in complex discharge planning. You must be enthusiastic and willing to develop your skills and knowledge to contribute to service development.
Priority will be given to colleagues identified as at risk through the Trust’s redeployment process.
