Production Operative

The Best Connection are proud to be partnering with our client and are recruiting for a skilled Production Operatives for their Bedford site.

The role is working a shift pattern of 07:00am-15:15pm, Monday-Friday with the opportunity of temp-to-perm for the suitable candidate.

Pay rate is £13.50 per hour. Overtime rates are flat rate after working 38.5 hours in the week and for Weekends subject to availability.

The role will involve running a variety of printing and dye casting machines.

Requirements of the Production Operative

• Previous experience in printing, fabrication and using dye cutting machines is preferred.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructions and adhere to quality control standards at all time to ensure the products are of the highest quality.
• Have an interest in working in printing production and work collaboratively with colleagues at all times.
• Follow strict health and safety protocol at all times when operating the production equipment.
• This role is a physical roles with manual handling and lifting on a daily basics.
• Experience within modern & traditional machinery including Kasemake & Heidelberg machinery is an advantage.

Responsibilities of the Production Operative

• Operate the production machinery safely and following all health and safety protocol, following directions/instructions
• Candidates must have previous experience in producing high quality and bespoke preservation materials.
• Carry out tasks including cutting, gluing, measuring materials with high attention to detail.
• Assist in other areas of the production and warehouse to meet production targets.
