About this role
Care Support Worker – Help People Live Their Best Lives Every Day
Do you want a job where what you do truly matters? Are you someone who brings kindness, positivity and energy into every situation? At Peabody, we’re looking for caring and committed individuals to join us as Care Support Workers, supporting people to live independently, confidently and with dignity.
In this rewarding role, you’ll become an important part of someone’s everyday life. You’ll help people with daily routines such as personal care and managing their health needs, while also encouraging them to enjoy hobbies, build confidence and take part in their community. Sometimes the smallest moments – a conversation, a laugh, or simply being there – can make the biggest difference, and that’s exactly what this role is all about.
You’ll take time to understand each person as an individual, supporting them to express their choices and live life on their terms. You’ll also build positive relationships with families, friends and other professionals, ensuring that each person receives the best possible support. Keeping accurate records and contributing to team discussions will be part of your role, as well as helping to maintain safe, clean and welcoming homes.
We’re looking for people with a naturally compassionate approach, a great sense of humour and the resilience to support others through both good days and challenging moments. Strong communication skills and a genuine team spirit are important, as is the ability to respect and celebrate diversity. You’ll need a full, clean UK driving licence, as driving is a key part of the role, and you’ll need to be flexible, as this position involves a 24/7 rota including evenings, weekends and overnight shifts.
Experience in care is helpful but not essential, as we provide full training and ongoing development. What matters most is your attitude, your willingness to learn and your passion for helping others. If you already hold a Care Certificate or NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care, that’s great, but if not, we’ll help you get there.
When you join Peabody, you’ll become part of a supportive team guided by values such as kindness, inclusion and doing the right thing. We’re committed to helping our colleagues feel valued and supported, creating a workplace where everyone can thrive.
In return, you’ll receive a generous benefits package including 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays, two paid volunteering days each year, life assurance at four times your salary and a pension contribution of up to 10%. You’ll also have access to training and career development opportunities, an employee assistance programme, a flexible benefits and discount scheme, and staff recognition initiatives that celebrate the brilliant work you do.
This is more than just a job – it’s a chance to build meaningful relationships, develop your skills and make a real difference in people’s lives every single day.
If you’re ready to start a rewarding career with purpose, we would love to hear from you. Please apply with an anonymised CV and a short statement explaining why you would be a great fit for this role.
Interviews will take place on 22nd and 23rd June 2026.
