About this role
To exercise leadership by personal example, fostering good interpersonal relationships and encouraging high staff morale Co-ordinate and communicate the placement of appropriate personnel/skills across the department Participate in the management of resources in the clinical area within the agreed budget. Implement Trust and directorate evidence based policies and guidelines Work closely with own team, Team leader and Senior Nurse Manager to promote good working relationships with all members of the multi-disciplinary team Foster and maintain effective communication and professional relationships with all areas of the Trust and with other hospitals/practices. Manage staff performance and development through a process of appraisal, which should include a cycle of constructive performance review and the establishment of a relevant personal development plan Act as a resource for the support and guidance of staff, patients and relatives Participate in the monitoring and management of staff sickness and absence Please refer to the Job Description for the full specification of responsibilities and requirements for this post.
