Billericay Doggie Daycare is an established industry leading Dog Daycare & Enrichment Centre. Canine enrichment is all about providing activities and environments that look after your dog’s physical, mental, and emotional wellbeing. As the saying goes, ‘variety is the spice of life’, and the same applies to your dog. Set on two acres of farmland as an outdoor daycare we provide care for our dogs come rain or shine. Doggy lovers, we’re on the hunt for a new team member to join our paw-some pack. We’re officially licensed by Chelmsford Council, making us the top dog daycare destination in Billericay and beyond! So, if you’re a dynamic doggy enthusiast, come bark up our tree! Applicants MUST already hold a level 2 animal care or have extensive industry experience to be eligible for this level 3 position
Now, here’s the scoop on the job. You’ll be supporting the day-to-day operations, duties will include but not limited to;
Assessing animal behaviour
Supervising and managing staff
Supervise the day to day running of the business
Building and maintaining customer relationships and resolving complaints, explaining how the communication style they use affects outcomes.
Providing animal enrichment
Keeping things tidy & clean,
Supporting other staff in getting activities ready
Dog training and behaviour
Follow health and safety requirements and respect the equality, diversity, and inclusion of others

Desired Qualification
Maths and English GCSE’s, or equivalents, as a minimum.
Applicants MUST already hold a level 2 animal care or have extensive industry experience to be eligible for this level 3 position
Future Progression
Most of our learners stay if they have reached the desired development. If they do not, they usually go on to do grooming or vet nursing.
Training
The apprentice will be working towards a Level 3 Animal Care Apprenticeship and build a portfolio of evidence. You will be required to pass a knowledge test and an End Point Assessment (EPA) to complete the apprenticeship.
All training will take place at the work location and the applicant will complete an animal care apprenticeship in full.
Things to consider
Due to location, applicants cannot use public transport to get to work, they must have their own means of getting to work.
The induction may take place at our other site; Paws Indoors.
This is a fast paced job role so be prepared to be on your feet.
