Stroke and Rehab Dietitian | Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust

We are seeking a suitably experienced Dietitian to join our established team of 15 Neuro and Critical Care Dietitians, contributing to the delivery of high-quality care for patients treated at Cambridge University Hospitals.

This is a 10 month secondment opportunity within the Stroke team team, providing maternity leave cover. The successful candidate will be well supported by Senior Neuro and Critical Care Dietitians and will work closely with a specialist multidisciplinary team. The role offers the opportunity to be involved in the care of stroke patients from admission to the hyper acute stroke unit through the rehabilitation to discharge from hospital.

The post will involve supporting patients who require artificial nutrition support and with dyphagia, ensuring comprehensive and patient-centered nutritional care.

To act as part of the Dietetic Team and in conjunction with the Neurosciences and Critical Care Team, to contribute to the dietetic services and to the department to a variety of areas such as developments in IDDSI and dysphagia care, artificial feeding and streamlining service and care regionally, where appropriate, in conjunction with the Band 7 and Band 8a Dietitians at Addenbrooke’s and other external Units / agencies as appropriate.

To work within a multi-professional framework and contribute to a first-class service through evidence-based clinical practice, management, education, research and audit.

To set and work towards individual and team objectives that reflect corporate plans and work within the clinical governance framework.
