Weekend Chef

Location – Crown, Peterborough | Part Time

As a Weekend Chef with Sodexo at Crown, you’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality catering services within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You’ll support the day-to-day catering operation while ensuring excellent food quality, hygiene standards, and customer service.

What you’ll do

  • Prepare, cook, and serve food to a high standard
  • Complete pre and post service checks to ensure smooth daily operations
  • Support menu planning and food production, including dietary requirements and allergen awareness
  • Deliver excellent customer service to site employees and visitors
  • Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and housekeeping
  • Process sales and operate cash registers accurately and efficiently
  • Complete cash handling and end-of-day cashing up procedures
  • Support compliance with health & safety procedures, risk assessments, and safe systems of work
  • Work closely with site management to ensure tasks are completed within agreed timeframes

What you’ll bring

  • Previous experience within a similar catering or chef role
  • Food Safety Level 2 qualification preferred
  • Strong understanding of food hygiene and allergen awareness
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
  • A proactive and positive attitude within a fast-paced environment
  • Good organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Own transport would be beneficial due to site location and shift times
