The Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Dance Teacher to join a Further Education (FE) College in the Norwich area. This is a fantastic opportunity to inspire and develop students' creativity, technical ability, and passion for dance within a supportive educational environment.
The successful candidate will deliver engaging, high-quality dance lessons to learners at FE level, supporting both practical performance and theoretical understanding.
Key Responsibilities
· Plan and deliver engaging and inclusive dance lessons across a range of styles
· Support students in developing technique, performance skills, and confidence
· Prepare learners for assessments, performances, and coursework
· Monitor and track student progress, providing constructive feedback
· Contribute to curriculum development and enrichment activities (e.g. showcases, performances)
· Maintain a safe and supportive learning environment
Requirements
· Relevant qualification in Dance, Performing Arts, or related subject
· Teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE, Cert Ed) or willingness to work towards one
· Experience teaching dance at FE level or working with 16-19-year-olds (desirable)
· Strong practical dance skills across one or more styles (e.g. contemporary, jazz, ballet, commercial)
· Excellent communication and organisational skills
· A passion for inspiring young people in the performing arts
