Initial Salary between £42,287 and £46,269 per annum (pro rata for less than 37 hours).

Permanent, hours can be negotiated up to 37 hours per week.

Based at King’s Court Council Offices

Are you looking for a fresh challenge? If so we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Benefits Manager to lead our dedicated team. You will ensure Housing Benefit and Council Tax Support claims are assessed accurately and fairly, manage overpayment recovery, oversee discretionary funds, and work closely with senior managers to shape policy and strategy for the future.

As the Council’s expert on Housing Benefit Subsidy and Supported/Exempt Accommodation claims, you will support specialist officers and represent us at appeal hearings. If you have detailed knowledge of benefit regulations, at least three years’ senior-level experience, and the confidence to lead through change, this is your opportunity to make a real impact.
