About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Admin Officer to join a busy Veterinary Investigation Centre in Starcross, Exeter on a temporary contract.
You will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day administrative functions of the centre, ensuring the accurate registration and processing of samples and records while providing excellent customer service to veterinary professionals and internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Answering telephone calls from veterinary clinics and internal colleagues
- Registering laboratory samples accurately and efficiently
- Inputting and maintaining records using internal databases and Microsoft Excel
- Registering animals into the centre's systems
- Providing front-of-house reception support
- Ensuring administrative records are maintained to a high standard
- Supporting the wider team with general administrative duties as required
About You
We're looking for someone who is organised, reliable and enjoys working as part of a team. You will be comfortable working independently when required and have a positive, professional approach.
You will have
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Outlook, Word and Excel
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- The ability to manage your workload effectively and work independently
- A mature and professional approach, as the role may involve processing registrations relating to deceased animals
- A collaborative attitude and willingness to support colleagues
- A positive attitude
