EP Tax is a small, professional firm. We offer a variety of Accountancy and Taxation services for a wide range of individuals and small businesses. We are looking for an experienced and/or AAT qualified accounting technician to join our award-winning and rapidly expanding practice in Ludgershall. We are able to offer a full-time position, 30-40 hours per week between 0830-1700, flexible on hours of work.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Working with clients across various sectors
  • Managing client relationships, holding meetings, and resolving queries that will differ daily
  • Preparation of accounts and tax returns for sole traders, partnerships, and property clients using our in-house CRM system and software. Full in-house training will be given but an understanding of double-entry and accounting terminology is a must
  • Preparing and submitting VAT returns from data input throughout the month and bank account reconciliations carried out on Xero software
  • Assisting junior staff
  • Any other necessary duties in line with your role and/or job description

REQUIREMENTS & IDEAL CANDIDATE

  • Level 3/4 AAT Qualified
  • Minimum 2 years of bookkeeping and accounts experience, preferably in a practice setting
  • Proficient in cloud-based accounting software (preferably Xero) and Excel
  • Able to commute to the office weekly – Hybrid working may be offered after a 6-month probationary period
  • Organised with the ability to prioritise tasks
  • Excellent communication skills, good attention to detail, and the ability to work well under pressure
  • Passion for customer service with the ability to go above and beyond and take ownership of any issues
