About the role
We are looking for a proactive and customer focused Estate Services Resilience Operative to join our team, with a strong emphasis
on caretaking services across our estates.
This is a varied role where you will play a key part in keeping our communities clean, safe, and well maintained, delivering a
high-quality service to our residents every day. While the role includes elements of grounds maintenance and waste services, it is
rooted in caretaking excellence, ensuring communal areas are maintained to the highest standards.
What you’ll be doing
You will help maintain internal and external communal areas, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for residents. Your duties
will include
Caretaking and Cleaning
- Cleaning communal areas including halls, stairs, landings, and lifts
- Removing litter and waste from communal spaces
- Maintaining refuse areas, bin stores, and chute systems
- Checking and maintaining communal lighting
Grounds Maintenance
- Supporting basic grounds maintenance such as litter picking and vegetation control
- Assisting with winter services including snow clearance and gritting
- Supporting wider estate services teams where required
Waste Services
- Removing fly tipping and bulky waste from estates
- Supporting clearance of void properties and communal areas
- Reporting environmental issues such as anti-social behaviour, vandalism, and dog fouling
- Ensuring estates are clean, presentable, and free from hazards
What we’re looking for
We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work and is committed to delivering excellent service.
You will have
* Experience in caretaking / cleaning, grounds maintenance, or waste services
* Strong customer service and communication skills
* A proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Basic maintenance or DIY skills
* Experience using handheld devices for reporting tasks
* A full UK driving licence
