SEND Teaching Assistant to work in The Haven - our specialist centre - starting as soon as possible, permanent.Working hours 30 hours per week - we can be flexible with part time hours and would consider a job share.

Working pattern

5 days a week – 8.35am – 3.20pm – 6 hours a day, 45 minutes of unpaid breaks.

Pay scale

Surrey Pay Grade 3.3 - 38.6 weeks of the year, term time + 3 inset days. £24,330 FTE - £17,263 pro rata salary.

as soon as possible.An exciting opportunity has arisen for a strong candidate to support teaching and learning at The Federated Schools of Wood Street Infant School & Worplesdon Primary School. This role is varied, and will be based in The Haven, our high coin unit at Worplesdon Primary School, supporting children with SEND. We are seeking to appoint a pro-active, caring, committed and enthusiastic SEND Teaching Assistant to work within this supportive team.The Haven is for 21 high COIN pupils, supporting them to successfully access as much mainstream inclusion as is appropriate, whilst delivering a curriculum which promotes the development of the whole child and maintaining good emotional well-being. The Haven is a carefully designed space, it benefits from two well resourced classrooms classrooms, one for our infant pupils and one for our junior pupils. The Haven has sensory and a soft play break out room, as well as an outdoor courtyard. Coaching children with high coin needs on a 1:1 or group basisAn individual who can remain calm under pressure with the ability to anticipate and de-escalate challenges.Committment to building pupil's independance, confidence and social skills.Supporting assessment and evidencing learning.Working with the teacher to create stimulating classroom displays and learning resources.Maintaining a safe and positive environment for all learners.Creating opportunities for all learners to reach their potential, irrespective of ability.The role includes supervising the children at lunchtime.

Accompanying groups on trips.
