Gi Group are working on behalf of our client, a global leader in microbiology and diagnostic solutions, to recruit Warehouse Operative/Forklift Operative (Counterbalance & Reach) based in East Grinstead RH19 to join their warehouse and logistics team on a 3-month assignment.

This is a hands-on warehouse role focused on picking, packing and loading shipments, using FLT (Counterbalance & Reach) supporting the Warehouse & Logistics Manager, and assisting with goods in/out, stock control and general warehouse duties, including GTC processes.

Warehouse Operative/Forklift Operative (

Counterbalance & Reach) Key responsibilities

  • Picking, packing, labelling and loading shipments
  • Goods In/Out and delivering items to the correct recipient/location
  • Correct storage of all materials and maintaining organised storage areas (finished products and components)
  • Finished product interlocations
  • Stock counts
  • Generating shipping documents (e.g., invoicing, CofO)
  • Maintaining filing systems and documentation
  • Forklift operation (counterbalance and reach trucks)
  • Forklift maintenance checks
  • GTC duties (screening visitors/customers & orders)
  • Supporting other areas of the department when required
  • Maintaining health & safety standards at all times

Warehouse Operative/Forklift Operative (

Counterbalance & Reach) Minimum requirements

  • Basic computer literacy
  • Basic GMP knowledge
  • FLT licence/experience (Counterbalance and Reach)
