Mobile Security Supervisor

About this role

Job Overview

-An exciting opportunity working on an established and prestigious Transport for London account that is based across London. The London Underground contract is a 24/7, 365-day operation that will require the mobile supervisor to lead, motivate and develop the security team to provide a best-in-class service to the client's premises and its occupiers.. The mobile supervisors will provide effective site compliance through effective management of the operational team to ensure they are effective in all aspects of physical security, incident management, and health and safety. Will be the primary point of contact for the LU central operation team, Mitie management team and Emergency services.

Main Duties

Operations

-To be aware of and ensure compliance with all aspects of policies and relevant legal and regulatory requirements as directed by the Site Security Manager and in accordance with UK Law and Guidance bodies.

-Fully and satisfactorily complete all tasks and duties on site as defined within the Assignment Instructions (AI's).

-To be compliant with Industry and Statutory Legislation.

-Comply with legal obligations and safety requirements of the role.

-Follow instructions and procedures.

-To visit sites in accordance with regulations

-To be aware of and ensure compliance with policies and procedures, relevant legal and regulatory requirements as directed by the Site Security Manager and in accordance with UK Law and Guidance bodies

-Fully and satisfactorily complete all tasks and duties as defined by role specifications

-Comply with legal obligations and safety requirements of the role.

-Ensure site officers are trained and compliant, testing knowledge and ability

-Ensure patrols are carried out as stipulated within the AI's

-Complete site visits as required

-Support sites with investigations and reports

-Escalate incidents/issues where required

-conduct welfare, 121 & RTW meetings

-Site compliance audits

Training

-Complete all required competency training.

-To undertake additional training as directed by the Line Manager.

-FORS training

Security and Health & Safety

-Report, any Health & Safety hazards, or potential hazards.

-Stay alert to any threats or changes within the work environment to take the appropriate action to reduce the chance of disruption, loss, or damage.

-To maintain professional conduct in the face of difficult situations and challenging customers.

-Keep to schedules and demonstrate commitment to Mitie and the Client.

-To ensure check calls are being carried out at the allocated time slot as stipulated in the Assignment Instructions (AI's).

-To call emergency services and Fleet Security Control Centre to report all incidents.

-What we are looking for

-Previous Security Experience

-Drivers Licence

-SIA License

Required

-A full driving License with minimum 12 months driving experience

-5 years' experience within the security industry

-SIA license

-Good knowledge of Microsoft office

-Good report writing skills

-Ability to learn various systems and implement that knowledge and training

-Ability to pass a drug and alcohol medical

-Ability to maintain a friendly approach to staff but maintain a managerial outlook

-Competency to pass required certification that allows track access

-Have or ability to pass an IOSH certification

-Use technology to achieve key work objectives and develop job knowledge and expertise through continual professional development.

-You are required to ensure you renew your licence 16 weeks before expiry.

Security and Health & Safety

-Look out for, and to immediately report, any Health & Safety hazards, or potential hazards, on site.

-Stay alert to any threats or changes within the work environment in order to take the appropriate action to reduce the chance of disruption, loss or damage.

-Use common sense and initiative by immediately involving others if a situation appears to become threatening.

-To maintain professional conduct in the face of difficult situations and challenging customers.

-Complete an accurate, detailed report as soon as possible after any incident, which can then be used as part of the Incident Report process.

-Keep to schedules and demonstrate commitment to Mitie and the Client.

-To ensure check calls are being carried out at the allocated time slot as stipulated in the Assignment Instructions (AI's).

-To call emergency services and Communication Centre to report all incidents.

The London Underground contract operates 24/7, 365 days a year, and requires the Mobile Supervisor to lead, motivate, and develop the security team to deliver a best-in-class service to the client and building occupiers. The role is responsible for maintaining site compliance through effective management of the operational team across physical security, incident management, and health and safety. The Mobile Supervisor will also act as the main point of contact for the LU Central Operations team, Mitie management, and the emergency services.

Working Hours

-This role involves 36 hours per week, covering days, nights, and weekends, with an hourly rate of £18.37

Training

-Complete all required competency training.

-To undertake additional training as directed by the Line Manager.

-FORS training

-To undertake additional training to ensure continuous self-development as directed by the Security Account Manager.

Required
