A Highly Specialist Speech and Language Therapist (SLT) is required at The National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery (NHNN) to work in specialist neurology services in a predominantly outpatient settings. The post is offered as a 2-year fixed term contract at 0.6 WTE (22.5 hours per week).

The post-holder will work with people presenting with a wide range of neurological conditions but will include those with ataxia, facial impairment and neuromuscular conditions. The work could include MDT clinics, 1:1 assessment and intervention, and groups.

This post offers a rewarding and challenging clinical environment. With high levels of expertise in the service, it also offers specialist development and an excellent learning environment.

You will join a team of SLTs which has a well-established system for formal / informal support and clinical / professional supervision. The SLT service has a very high profile within the multidisciplinary team of services provided.
