About the Role
This is a full time, long term, term time only position starting September, based in a mainstream primary school in Bethnal Green. You'll be working within an inclusive, supportive environment, helping students with a range of SEND needs access the National Curriculum and reach their full potential.

What You'll Be Doing

Providing 1
1 and small group support to pupils with a range of SEND needs to help them access the National Curriculum
- Working closely with the class teacher to deliver structured, differentiated, and engaging lessons
- Supporting the development and implementation of EHCPs and individual learning plans
- Building warm, trusting relationships with pupils across the mainstream provision
- Supporting students' social, emotional, and communication development alongside their academic progress
What We're Looking For
Experience & Qualifications
- Direct experience supporting pupils with SEND in a mainstream or specialist setting - essential
- Experience supporting students with a range of needs including ASD, ADHD, SLD or communication difficulties
- Familiarity with EHCPs and supporting differentiated learning in the classroom
Skills & Abilities
- Calm, consistent approach to behaviour management using positive strategies
- Ability to adapt support to suit a range of learning profiles and needs
- Confident communicating with teachers, parents, and wider school staff
- Organised, proactive, and able to follow lesson plans and EHCP targets effectively
Attitude & Behaviours
- Warm, patient, and genuinely passionate about supporting children with SEND
- A collaborative team player who adds to a positive school culture
- Reflective, open to feedback, and committed to developing professionally
- Takes safeguarding seriously and upholds the highest standards of child welfare
Safeguarding
This role involves direct, daily contact with children and young people and constitutes regulated activity relevant to children. The successful candidate will be expected to uphold the highest standards of safeguarding at all times, in line with the school's safeguarding policy and statutory guidance. All applicants must be willing to undergo an enhanced DBS check and provide references that will be verified prior to appointment.
