We have a fantastic opportunity for a Category Technologist to join our ambient grocery team.

Please be advised that this position requires attendance at Asda House in Leeds for a minimum of three days per week. We’re really looking forward to having you around!

  • Support our suppliers to deliver safe, legal and great value products to our customers everyday
  • Champion Asda’s standards within the business and with suppliers so all of our products meet or exceed customer expectations
  • Take the lead on customer dissatisfaction, leveraging the power of the business unit to bring about meaningful and sustainable change
  • Lead and own investigations into serious customer complaints and enforcement interactions
  • Take a leading role in product launches with our supply partners – so we all deliver right first time for customers
  • Own the review and approval of specifications, ensuring the principle of intrinsic food safety are at the heart of every product launched
  • Play an active and significant part in product optimisation to ensure that we are able to offer Asda brand products at Asda price
  • Maintain a strong grip on key customer KPIs that you robustly deliver within your accountable area

  • Degree or equivalent experience in relevant product or scientific area
  • Manufacturing experience in operations, technical or product development
  • Understanding audit standards and their application – e.g. BRC
  • Computer literate
  • Commercially & customer aware
  • Ability to prioritise and flex to business needs
