We are working closely with local authority in Plymouth to assist with the appointment of a Minute Taker, on a 3.5-months contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay

£13.90- £17.99 per hour

Summary

The Minute Taker – Grade D is responsible for providing high-quality administrative and meeting support services through the accurate recording, summarising, and production of minutes for statutory and strategy meetings within Children, Young People and Families (CYP) services. The role involves producing clear, concise, and non-verbatim meeting minutes within agreed departmental timescales while maintaining confidentiality, professionalism, and high levels of accuracy.

Responsibilities

Attend and take accurate, non-verbatim minutes for strategy meetings and Children, Young People and Families (CYP) statutory meetings.

Identify and summarise significant content discussed during meetings while ensuring clarity, accuracy, and consistency.

Ensure all minutes and records meet organisational quality standards and are verified by independent chairs and managers where required.

Maintain compliance with organisational policies, safeguarding requirements, health and safety procedures, and information governance standards.

Qualifications

GCSEs (Grade A*–C / 9–4) or equivalent in English and Mathematics.

NVQ Level 3 in Business Administration or equivalent qualification, or relevant administrative experience.

Essentials

Experience using Microsoft Office applications and web-based systems.

Demonstrable administrative and clerical experience within an office environment.

Experience following office procedures and maintaining accurate records.
