HGV Shunter Driver

Shift pattern

6pm to 6am

Your Time at Work

As an HGV Shunter Driver, you will be moving loads from the customer's local factory to the Melksham warehouse.

Main duties include

• Completing vehicle and trailer checks at shift start, to ensure all equipment is road legal and suitable for the task
• Using automated bays to load and offload the trailer
• Ensuring the factory is kept clear of loads throughout the shift
• Liaising with the factory and warehouse to understand what is required throughout the day
• Ensuring that site rules at both sites are adhered to at all times
• Using an agreed route, between the factory and the warehouse, through the local villages.
• Driving responsibly throughout the route
• Manual recording of trip information throughout the day
• Reporting any issues to the Shift Manager
• Assisting with occasional vehicle movements in yard

Our Perfect Worker

Our perfect worker will have a full and clean Class 1 driving licence, a digital tachograph card and an understanding of how it works, and a driver's CPC

Applicants will have good knowledge of drivers' hours and WTD and have experience working within an FMCG environment.
