About the RoleWe are looking for a professional and proactive Store Detective to join our retail security team.

Working in plain clothes, you will be responsible for identifying and preventing theft, gathering evidence, and supporting stores in reducing retail crime. You will work closely with store management, uniformed security officers, and police partners while using a modern incident reporting platform to record and submit intelligence.

This role requires travel across Bristol and surrounding areas.

Responsibilities

-Conduct undercover store detective duties in plain clothes.

-Identify and monitor suspected offenders.

-Detect and prevent theft and retail crime.

-Gather evidence and intelligence.

-Complete detailed incident reports.

-Use mobile reporting and communication systems.

-Support investigations into repeat offenders and organised retail crime.

-Work closely with store management teams.

-Support uniformed officers operating within stores.

-Maintain a professional and discreet presence at all times.

RequirementsEssential

-Valid SIA Door Supervisor or Security Guarding Licence.

-Full UK Driving Licence.

-Access to a vehicle.

-Ability to travel across Bristol and surrounding areas.

-Good communication skills.

-Basic IT skills.

-Ability to use mobile applications and reporting platforms.

-Strong observation and report-writing skills.

Desirable

-Previous Store Detective experience.

-Retail Security experience.

-Knowledge of retail crime prevention.
