Deputy Divisional Director of Operations - Surgery, Band 8c

The post requires someone with the ability to think and act strategically, set direction in a complex environment and manage relationships with a wide range of senior colleagues. You will have high level analytical, problem-solving and communication skills, and a strong understanding of clinical specialty management across several specialties at once. You will have experience of delivering programmes of work and leading teams, including directing recovery planning at specialty level. Demonstrable experience in specialty management is required. You will need to be enthusiastic and driven, with the willingness to go the extra mile to achieve what is required for our patients and your services. You will be educated to a Masters level or equivalent and have demonstrable and credible experience of senior operational management roles in the health sector. With excellent communication skills you will need to be able to establish your credibility at all levels internally and externally, and be able to quickly build relationships within your own team and the wider organisation.
