Responsibilities

Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring smooth workflow and high standards of food quality.

Supervise and manage kitchen staff, including training, scheduling, and performance evaluation.

Prepare and cook a variety of dishes in accordance with menu specifications and customer preferences.

Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness in compliance with health regulations.

Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery.

Develop new menu items and contribute to menu planning based on seasonal ingredients and customer feedback.

Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and manage stock control efficiently.

Enforce safety protocols and ensure all kitchen equipment is maintained properly.

Requirements

Proven experience in food production, cooking, and kitchen management within a hospitality or restaurant environment.

Supervising experience with the ability to lead a team effectively.

Strong knowledge of food safety standards and regulations.

Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Demonstrated leadership qualities with a focus on team management and development.

Good communication skills to coordinate with team members and front-of-house staff.

Previous restaurant experience is highly desirable, along with expertise in food preparation and serving techniques.

Passion for culinary arts with a creative approach to menu development.
