ENT Consultant

About this role

Clinical Undertake outpatient clinics and operating lists Work harmoniously with other team members including the audiology team, junior medical staff, training grades, speech therapists and nursing staff Contribute to clinical multidisciplinary meetings where required Partake in the 1 in 8 ENT Consultant on-call rota covering Royal Surrey County Hospital, St Peters and Ashford Hospital. Leadership or managerial Instruct and support junior grades and nurses working within outpatient clinics and operating lists Involvement with training the Specialty Doctor to help develop their role Information and reporting Undertake research and audit projects to which the appointee will be expected to contribute as well as initiate their own projects Attend and contribute to regular educational half days and ENT audit meetings with the Royal Surrey County Hospital staff. These meetings usually take place at Royal Surrey Hospital in Guildford. Service improvement It is hoped that the appointee will be able to participate in assisting other staff members in reaching Trust targets by undertaking additional programmed activities Support with RTT performance targets General responsibilities To support the department and organisation by carrying out any other duties that reasonably fit within the broad scope of a job of this grade and type of work
