Who are we looking for?
The Car Parking Department are seeking a motivated and dependable individual who can take ownership of a varied and highly visible role within the community.
The ideal candidate will bring a strong mix of operational awareness, people management skills, and the ability to respond effectively in challenging situations.
What will the role involve?
You will carry out regular inspections of Council owned car parks, representing the Council in a manner that is consistent with the highest standards of customer service, pride and community service. Duties will include the issue of Excess Charge Notices, to identify sources of Car Parking infringments and report these, to assist in the daily management of car parks by reporting orders for repairs and signage and maintain the Council's Pay and Display Machines.
You will need to have a full clean driving licence for this role, a vehicle will be provided for work use only and will be based at the Council Offices, Hailsham.
Working Pattern
This role operates on a 5-day working week basis, including a rotating weekend schedule. Employees are required to work approximately 1 in every 2 weekends, with appropriate days off allocated during the week in lieu of weekend working.

We're seeking someone who is
· Comfortable working in a public-facing, operational environment
· Calm and decisive under pressure, particularly in emergency situations
· ICT skills including experience in using Microsoft Office products.
