We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Slough to assist with the appointment of an Customer Service Advisor, on a 6-month contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.
Rate of Pay
£13.97 - £18.25 per hour
Summary
The Customer Service Advisor will provide a high-quality, customer-focused service to learners, staff, partners, and potential customers. You will act as the first point of contact for enquiries, support learner enrolment processes, undertake a range of administrative duties, and contribute to projects that promote lifelong learning services across the community.
Responsibilities
Act as the first point of contact for all enquiries via telephone, email, letter, and face-to-face interactions.
Provide information and advice on learning opportunities and signpost learners to appropriate services and providers.
Deliver a professional reception service at community learning centres and other venues as required.
Support learner enrolment processes, ensuring accurate completion of forms, fee collection, receipt issuance, and data entry.
Maintain accurate electronic and paper records using Management Information Systems (MIS) and other databases.
Support tutors and managers with administrative tasks and learner liaison activities.
Qualification
5 GCSEs (Grades A-C / 4-9) or equivalent qualifications.
Essentials
Previous experience in a customer-focused environment.
Experience working within a team environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Strong literacy, numeracy, and IT skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
