Highly Speciliased Cardiac Physiologist

Responsible along with the other Band 7 Physiologist for the operational responsibility of the department on a day to day basis. This includes a clinical workload (i.e. performing and/or reporting on all the non-invasive tests) as well as day to day management and supervision of staff. To initiate and participate in clinical audit within the department and to use the results to improve quality of service.To be a specialist in echocardiography, etc. to develop competence in clinical supervision and be able to act as clinical supervisor where necessary.
