GP Receptionist

About this role

Job responsibilities As a GP Practice Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for patients, providing excellent customer service and administrative support to ensure the smooth running of the practice. The role requires someone with strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Will need to be part of total triage team. Will have 2 weeks introductory session with senior colleague and will be trained for total triage. System one is our computer system.

Key Responsibilities Reception

Greeting patients and handling telephone/email enquiries in a professional & friendly manner Booking, amending, and cancelling appointments using our clinical system Processing prescriptions, referrals, and other administrative tasks Handling patient records, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy Supporting clinicians with administrative tasks, including medical coding and scanning.
