About this role
FM Conway is looking for a Supervisor to join our Term Maintenance team on the Croydon contract. This is an exciting opportunity for a people-focused leader who enjoys building strong relationships, supporting teams to succeed, and delivering high-quality work that makes a real difference to local communities.
As a Supervisor, you'll play a vital role in coordinating and overseeing a variety of highways maintenance projects, ensuring work is delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest standards. You'll work closely with teams across the business creating a collaborative and positive working environment where everyone can perform at their best. This is a permanent, full-time position based at our Purley Oaks depot in Croydon, Greater London.
The duties of the
Supervisor role will include
Lead, coach and support Operatives and Team Leaders to deliver excellent results
Build positive working relationships with clients, colleagues and subcontractors
Plan and coordinate programmes of work, ensuring projects remain on track
Manage resources effectively to achieve delivery targets and budgets
Raise and resolve technical queries, ensuring clear communication across teams
Arrange plant, equipment and materials to support operational requirements
Champion a strong health, safety and wellbeing culture
Support continuous improvement and identify opportunities to enhance performance and service delivery
What skills and experience do you need?
We are seeking an organised and collaborative Supervisor who is passionate about delivering high-quality work and supporting successful teams. Whether your background is in highways, drainage, civil engineering, or a related infrastructure environment, you'll bring strong communication skills, a proactive approach, and the ability to build positive relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
Experience working with NEC, JCT or ICE contracts would be advantageous, and qualifications such as a CSCS card, SSSTS, and Temporary Works are desirable. We welcome applications from individuals with transferable skills and a willingness to develop their knowledge and experience further.
As the role involves regular travel to FM Conway and customer locations, a full UK driving licence and the ability to travel are essential.
