A well-established and highly regarded London Market insurance broker is seeking to appoint an experienced Marine Claims Broker to join its specialist claims division.

The firm operates globally across complex insurance placements and is recognised for its technical expertise within marine and specialty sectors.

Your new role

In this role, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of Marine Hull & Machinery (H&M) claims, handling cases from initial notification through to final settlement.

You will work closely with clients, insurers, surveyors and other market participants to ensure claims are progressed efficiently and in line with policy terms.

You will play a key role in providing technical guidance on coverage, policy interpretation and claims strategy, supporting negotiation and driving successful outcomes on behalf of clients. The role will involve regular communication with stakeholders across the Lloyd's and company markets, ensuring a high level of service delivery throughout the claim's lifecycle.

You will also have exposure to complex and high-value marine losses, supporting resolution strategies and contributing to the ongoing development of best practice within the claims team.

What you'll need to succeed

To be successful in this role, you will have proven experience handling Marine Hull & Machinery claims within a London Market environment, either from a broking or insurer background. You will bring strong technical knowledge of marine claims processes, including an understanding of policy wordings, coverage issues and claims resolution strategies.

You will be confident managing relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, including brokers, underwriters, surveyors and clients, and will demonstrate strong communication and organisational skills. Experience working with London Market systems and managing multiple claims simultaneously will be beneficial.

A proactive and detail-oriented approach is essential, alongside the ability to work both independently and as part of a wider team.
