Senior Corporate Relationships Manager

About this role

Can you help us shape the partnerships that Inspire Futures?

The Science Museum Group encompasses the Science Museum, the National Railway Museum, the Science and Industry Museum, the National Science & Media Museum, Locomotion and the Science and Innovation Park; making us the world's greatest alliance of science museums. Our Fundraising & Partnerships team plays a vital role in delivering our mission, helping to build purposeful and meaningful relationships that enable us to inspire audiences through science, technology, engineering and innovation.

As part of this work, we're now looking for a Senior Corporate Relationship Manager (New Business) to join us on a full-time, permanent basis, helping to secure transformational corporate partnerships that support our far-reaching exhibitions, programmes and long-term vision.

About the Role

Sitting within the Corporate Relationships team, this role will focus on developing and securing high-value new business partnerships that contribute significantly to the Science Museum Group's fundraising ambitions. Working closely with the Head of Corporate Relationships and colleagues across the wider Fundraising & Partnerships team, you'll identify, cultivate and convert new sponsorship opportunities, building a robust pipeline of prospective corporate supporters aligned with the Group's strategic priorities.

You'll be responsible for developing compelling sponsorship proposals and partnership pitches, creating tailored opportunities that connect corporate objectives with the Science Museum Group's mission to inspire future generations to engage with STEM subjects.

A key part of the role will involve building productive external relationships with prospective partners, alongside maintaining effective collaboration internally across museum teams to ensure partnership opportunities are strategically aligned and delivered effectively.

You'll also contribute to the ongoing development of fundraising best practice, keeping informed of trends in corporate social responsibility, brand partnerships and sponsorship to help position the Science Museum Group as a cultural partner of choice for local, national and global industries.

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a mission-aligned, innovative and world-renowned organisation, while playing a key role in delivering meaningful partnerships that support our mission and future ambitions.

Hybrid working is available in this role in line with the current hybrid working policy at SMG, with a minimum of 40% of working hours based onsite at the Science Museum in London.

About You

You'll bring experience securing high-value corporate sponsorships or partnerships, at six- or seven-figure level, with a strong record of developing and converting new business opportunities.

You'll be confident building relationships with senior stakeholders and experienced in persuading, negotiating and presenting compelling partnership propositions. A clear and persuasive communicator, you'll combine well-developed relationship-building skills with creativity, commercial awareness and a collaborative approach.

You'll have excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively, alongside strong written communication skills and experience producing high-quality proposals and presentations for a range of audiences.

At ease working with diverse stakeholders, you'll focus on finding solutions, stay motivated by hitting fundraising goals, and contribute constructively to team morale and organisational objectives.

Most importantly, you'll bring a values-driven approach and a genuine commitment to helping create an open, inclusive and inspiring organisation for colleagues, partners and audiences alike.

Don't feel you meet every requirement? We still encourage you to apply. With your transferable skills, you could be the right person for this role or for other opportunities with us.
