About this role
Changing Suits is looking for a compassionate and culturally aware Domestic Abuse Support Worker to support individuals from South Asian communities. You’ll provide one-to-one support, help clients access services, and play a key role in promoting safety, empowerment, and recovery.
Key responsibilities
Provide 1
1 emotional and practical support to individuals affected by domestic abuse
Support clients with safety planning and accessing relevant services
Deliver community awareness sessions and presentations
Attend and contribute to multi-agency meetings
Maintain accurate, confidential case records
Signpost clients to appropriate support services
Requirements
Fluent in English and at least one of the following: Hindi or Konkani (essential)
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work empathetically with vulnerable individuals
Understanding of safeguarding and confidentiality
Desirable
Experience working in domestic abuse or support services
Experience working with South Asian communities
Ability to assess needs and provide tailored support
