A well-established, family-owned hospitality business is seeking a talented and experienced Head Chef to lead its kitchen operation and drive standards of excellence.

About the location

Our client operates a 16th-century dining pub with rooms, set in a peaceful rural location in the heart of Cornwall. Ideally positioned between Truro and Newquay, the venue offers a high-quality, wholesome hospitality experience with a strong focus on sustainability and locally sourced produce.

The Role

This is a senior leadership position requiring a hands-on and commercially aware Head Chef who can take full ownership of the kitchen and elevate its offering.

Key responsibilities include

  • Designing and delivering seasonal, locally inspired menus
  • Leading, motivating, and developing the kitchen team
  • Maintaining exceptional standards of food quality and presentation
  • Ensuring full compliance with food safety, hygiene, and health & safety regulations
  • Managing kitchen financial performance, including GP, stock control, labour, and waste
  • Working closely with the General Manager to achieve business objectives

The Ideal Candidate

Wea are looking for an experienced Head Chef, or a strong Sous Chef ready to step up, with a proven background in high-volume, quality-driven environments.
