About this role
Prospero Teaching is recruiting two dedicated and resilient Primary Teachers (QTS) to work in a specialist school setting in the Salisbury area. The school supports pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, providing a structured, nurturing environment designed to help students re‑engage with education.
You will take responsibility for delivering a primary curriculum adapted to meet individual needs, focusing on building positive relationships, emotional regulation, and academic progress. This role requires a calm, consistent, and highly supportive approach, with an emphasis on behaviour management and student wellbeing.

- Deliver a primary curriculum tailored to pupils with SEMH needs
- Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons
- Support pupils with emotional regulation and behaviour management
- Build strong, positive relationships with students
- Create a safe, structured, and consistent classroom environment
- Work closely with support staff and pastoral teams
- Track and assess progress in both academic and personal development
- Follow safeguarding and school policies consistently
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience working with SEMH, behaviour needs, or additional needs
- Strong behaviour management and de‑escalation skills
- Patient, resilient, and adaptable approach
- Confident working in a structured, specialist environment
- Committed to supporting both academic and emotional development
- Suitable for experienced teachers or confident ECTs
