Paramount Personnel are recruiting for a talented Chef de Partie, for our client, an award winning restaurant in the Newquay, Cornwall area. The successful candidate will ideally have a proven history within a fast paced environment, from a luxury hospitality background, be a driven individual and be looking to expand their culinary skills within a progressive company.

The successful Chef de Partie will assist the Sous Chef and Head Chef in the smooth running of the kitchen, managing one of 4 sections, whilst being creative in sharing ideas on menu development. The Chef de Partie will be passionate about locally sourced food, with all ingredients being sourced from local suppliers in order to provide sustainable but excellent dishes.

Chef de Partie responsibilities to include;

Preparing, cooking, and presenting dishes within your specialty

Helping the Sous Chef and Head Chef to develop new dishes and menus

Ensuring you and your team have high standards of food hygiene and follow the rules of health and safety

Monitoring portion and waste control to maintain profit margins

The successful chef de partie will have;

Proven experience as a chef de partie or above, from a similar Hotel setting.

Excellent communication skills, along with a great eye for detail.

An ability to work as part of a solid kitchen brigade, including other junior chefs, with a good team mentality.
