We are expanding our Supported Living services across Wiltshire and are now recruiting experienced Senior Care Assistants to join our leadership team.

Job Summary

As a Senior Care Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting individuals in supported living settings while supervising and guiding care staff. You will ensure high‑quality, person‑centred care and maintain compliance with CQC standards.

This role is ideal for someone with strong care experience who is ready to take on more responsibility and leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high quality, person centred support to adults in supported living
  • Lead, supervise, and mentor care assistants during shifts
  • Support with personal care, daily living tasks, and community activities
  • Administer and oversee medication in line with company policy
  • Assist with care planning, risk assessments, and support plans
  • Complete accurate daily notes, incident reports, and documentation
  • Promote independence, dignity, and choice for all service users
  • Liaise with families, professionals, and external agencies
  • Support with rota planning, handovers, and shift coordination
  • Ensure safeguarding, health & safety, and CQC compliance at all times
  • Respond to emergencies and escalate concerns appropriately

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year experience in a care or support role
  • Experience in supported living or learning disability services (preferred)
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain)
  • Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings and weekends

Desirable Qualifications

  • NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care
  • Medication administration training
  • Experience supervising or mentoring staff
  • Full UK driving licence (advantage)
