Trainee / Junior Composite Laminator

The Role

Are you a hands-on individual with a sharp eye for detail? Carbon ThreeSixty, a leading specialist in structural composite engineering, is looking for a Trainee / Junior Laminators to join our production team.

In this role, you will learn the art and science of composite manufacturing. You’ll be responsible for laying up carbon fibre and other advanced materials into precision moulds to create high-performance components for the aerospace, automotive, and defence sectors.

Key Responsibilities

Material Preparation

Learning to interpret technical drawings and ply manuals to kit and cut materials.

Lamination

Precision “lay-up” of carbon fiber pre-preg materials into moulds, ensuring air-tight seals and zero defects.

Vacuum Bagging

Applying vacuum bagging consumables and performing leak checks to prepare parts for autoclave or oven curing.

Tooling Maintenance

Cleaning and preparing moulds with release agents to ensure high-quality surface finishes.

Quality Control

Maintaining a clean-room environment and documenting work to ensure every part meets our rigorous standards.

Has excellent hand-to-eye coordination

Can follow complex instructions and technical diagrams accurately.
