About the Role
Are you a confident, adaptable individual looking to make a difference in the classroom? We are seeking a dedicated Cover Supervisor to join a vibrant secondary school community in the Brixham area.
This role is perfect for graduates considering a career in teaching, ex-military personnel, or experienced coaches and youth workers who thrive in a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for overseeing lessons, ensuring students stay on task and maintain a productive learning atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities

Classroom Management
Deliver pre-set learning activities and manage student behaviour in line with school policies.

Student Support
Assist students with their work and answer general queries to keep them engaged.

Reporting
Provide feedback to the department regarding student progress and any classroom incidents.

Safety
Ensure a safe and inclusive environment for all pupils during the school day.

The ability to lead a room of students with authority and empathy.

Flexibility
Comfortable moving between subjects throughout the day.

Communication
Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with both staff and students.

Reliability
Punctual and committed to a consistent 5-day-a-week schedule.

An enhanced DBS check is required for this role (we can assist with this).
